A Rocha UK Living Lightly

leisure107Leisure

The crown of God's creation was not humanity (day 6) but the Sabbath (day 7) – God's day of rest and refreshment for all creation. Living lightly means pacing our lifestyles, with space for ourselves, for others, for 'being' rather than just 'doing'. Those with busy lives may need to protect this space carefully. Others may have more ‘free’ time than past generations, and can choose to use this creatively – not filling it with busyness, but balancing rest, enjoyment of creation, and service of others.
