June 2010: How does your garden grow?
It's the time of year when lots of things are growing in our gardens and allotments and they need water to grow well. How do you water your plants?
On the news today, as this is being written, there is talk of an impending drought in the North-West of England and of the need for residents to be curbing their water usage. Through water butts and using 'grey' water from the shower and the kitchen sink it is possible to go through the whole of the summer without using any fresh water on our garden.
This month, see how much you can reduce the amount of fresh water that you use on your garden. |
