Repeating Challenge

Take all your packaging back to the supermarket whence it came each week and ask the manager to recycle it.

One-hit Wonder

Contact your supermarket and ask them to use recyclable plastic bags for all their fresh produce that is put into plastic bags (eg. Sainsbury's fair-trade grapes come in a recyclable bag that looks identical to the non-recyclable bag that the regular grapes are put in, so why not use recyclable bags for it all?!).

One-hit Wonder

Contact your supermarket and ask them to use compostable trays for all their fruit and vegetables.

The Big Ask

Set up boxes in your church for recycling things that the Council often doesn’t deal with, such as foil and green bottle tops. Advertise around the community that the facility is there and find local ways to recycle them (eg. some hospices can use them to generate funds).

One-hit Wonder

Talk to your local Council about the recycling facilities they offer and encourage them to improve on them.
