Linking our lives in with the concept of a Sabbath rest will not change the world as directly as other suggestions might seem to do, but it is all a part of us finding a rhythm to our lives that respects our creaturely limits and provides space for us to develop our relationships with God, with each other, and with the rest of God's creation.

Take a week/two weeks/a month to carry out a time audit. Keep a note of all the things you do each day and how much time you spend on them. Have a look at the rhythm of your days. Are you happy with what you spend the most amount of time on? Are there things you wish you had the time for? What gaps or spaces are there in your days?
