	The Big Ask Turn your town into a ‘Fair Trade Town’. By April 2009 there were over 400 in the UK, with another 200 areas campaigning towards status – the FairTrade Foundation has all the information.
	One-hit wonder Have your say in any plans for developing transport routes. Contact your local Council.
	Occasional Campaign to increase recycling facilities for your community.
	The Big Ask Get involved in any building developments that are taking place locally. Push for them to be of the highest environmental standard (eco homes / eco buildings)
	Occasional Talk to your local shopkeeper – find out their name and what they do when they’re not behind the counter! See what ethical / fair-trade / environmentally-friendly products they stock, and encourage them by buying what they have, and suggesting where they could improve!
	One-hit wonder Talk to your Council about building or improving cycle paths.
	Occasional Find out who your local Councillors are. Talk to them about the local (and global) environmental issues that concern you.
